What it is: A woody and aromatic eau de parfum that captures Paris in the early '60s.
Fragrance story: The Saint-Germain quarter was alive with the rhythm of all-night sessions in jazz clubs and artistic encounters. People would discuss the world; dancing and laughing in a warm, vibrant atmosphere. Orphéon was one of the bars, filled with joyful effervescence, where the three founders of the nearby diptyque boutique liked to meet. Today, paying tribute to this era and to creative friendships, the bar is immortalized in the olfactory portrait that bears its name: Orphéon. Curls of tobacco smoke mingle with powdery trails of blush lingering on burnished wood. At the heart of the composition is the atmosphere of that unforgettable place, recognizable through the warmth of tonka bean, the depth of cedar and the vivacity of juniper berries. The iconic oval label is deeply rooted in diptyque's story. The thread of inspiration runs from ancient Rome to the fabric designs created during the early days of the diptyque adventure.

stunning!!
I did get a sample of this before launch and I am FLOORED at how great this. Bravo, Diptyque. Maybe my favorite Diptyque frag to date. It truly is a beautiful skin scent with hints of smokiness and powder (in the best way) and does have a 60’s vibe to it. It’s so fab and I’m definitely getting a full bottle.
Also, I heard someone say this will be the fragrance of NYC in a few years like what Santal 33 is to it now and I can definitely see that with this.

HARD PASS
It smells the devil’s lettuce laced with baby powder and hint on BO. Also the website is deceiving. You will receive a 1 oz/ 30 ml not 1.9 oz. The bottle is TINY.

In love on first sniff
I bought it blindly because of my overall regard for the brand. I was shocked by how good it is, even though the bar was high. This seems more complex and intricate than other Diptyque scents. It is soft but very present and feminine and can be both all day and evening wear on my opinion. The marriage of all the scents is so delicate that you can not pin point any individual note, which makes it mysterious and makes me want to smell it again and again. Money most well spent!

Not the same as in the store
Tried it on in the store to see how it would smell on me after an hour. OMG I was so obsessed w/ it. I didn't even take a shower the next day because I could still smell it. Well I promptly purchased it online and anxiously awaited its arrival. BIG FAIL. It's the same scent but it's much lighter and goes away very quickly. It's been 3 hours since I generously sprayed it and I can barely get a whiff with my nose pressed up against my arm. When I tried it in the store I smelled it 24 hours later and hadn't even sprayed as much. I saw another review said the same thing so now I'm wondering what's going on. I'll be returning it. Soooo disappointed as I absolutely loved it in the store.

Stunning classic
I spritzed my wrists at the store and my initial thoughts were "it's just ok." By the time I got home, it had dried down so beautifully. Some of it got on my coat sleeves & the scent lingered for days. Every time I put on my coat, I became more infatuated with it and knew it needed to be in my collection. The notes are intriguing, sultry smoke and woodsy with many layers. It's one of the most beautiful perfumes I own, I'm completely obsessed.

Diptique Orpheon EDP
I absolutely adore this new creation from Diptyque, who, in my opinion doesn't get enough credit for their perfumes. Orpheon is a beautiful soft skin scent and reminds me somewhat of Eau de Peau, another soft gorgeous skin scent from Diptyque. Both perfumes can be worn anywhere and everywhere without anyone complaining, and that includes the work place.
