What it is: A floral eau de parfum with a more faceted, more exuberant take on a rose scent.

Fragrance story: An homage to the rose, Eau Rose is composed of an infusion of the finest damascena and centifolia roses, the best roses in perfumery. In this composition, extracts and absolutes of damascena and centifolia roses amplify the flowers’ intensity. Firad rose essence is added to this duo, with its astonishing fruity accents of lychee and its unexpected, yet naturally present notes: the honeyed accents of chamomile and a singular, green, vegetal accord of artichoke. After all, the perfumers say, 'a good rose always smells of artichoke'. A surprising sidestep inspired by the fantasies of nature, for a rose with a vibrant and exhilarating character. The iconic oval label is deeply rooted in diptyque’s story. The thread of inspiration runs from ancient Rome to the fabric designs created during the early days of the diptyque adventure.

stunning

This is a gorgeous, natural rose scent. It opens green but that subsides as it wears. At first the green note, artichoke, threw me off but I now adore it. This is not as sweet as the EDT, but has more depth. They are different enough to warrant owning both of you like rose.

surprised by the biting note in the scent

I loooove the eau de toilette version of this, but it is so light and doesn’t persist. I got the eau de perfume thinking I would have found the holy grail of a very rosey-rose perfume. So many people seem to like it. But no. There was a bitter or biting or sharp note to me. Maybe it was the artichoke? I don’t know. I tried it multiple times but it just wasn’t going to work for me. :-(

stunning

Lovely Perfume

Bought this blind and I have no regret! It’s a classic rose scent with a fresh, green vibrancy! It takes what could be a heaviness and infuses a bit of spring brightness. I can’t wait to wear this all spring and summer!

Beautiful, but needs more staying power.

First time trying this brand, and I’m impressed with the scent, but not the staying power. After about two hours, it kinda disappeared. For such an expensive beauty purchase, I need it to last at least 6hrs. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful summer fragrance. But, I probably wouldn’t splurge on this again.

Travel back to your garden

I inhale Eau Rose and instantly I am transported back to my Grandmother's garden. I was just three when I first stood beneath her lilac tree, under which grew Lillies of the Valley. Next to them were the roses: white, creme, peach and red, all with their scents. Butterflies floated tenderly overhead. I met my first magical Praying Mantis in that garden. That child still lives in me. Eau Rose takes me there.

love love love love so hard

They suckered me in with the gift bundle. I got the travel size and small candle with purchase. I LIVE for this scent. I’m not a huge floral person but this has just enough muskyness to it to make it saucy. I’m hooked. Not to mention that it’s all packaged very nicely and the spay is probably the best out of all my perfumes

EDT is better

I ordered both the EDT and EDP and was surprised how different they were. The EDP is almost too rosy and has a noticeable powdery finish that I don’t care for, it gives off grandma vibes. It’s also less complex. The EDT has more going on, is more nuanced and is of course milder. Bummer, as I prefer the size of the EDP, the EDT (which Nordstrom only had in 100mL) is huge.
