What it is: A lively chypre fragrance that perfectly epitomizes Paris, the city with a thousand faces, in limited-edition packaging.
Fragrance story: An excess of roses precede the freshness of bergamot notes, accented by bright pink berries. Its undertone is patchouli, bringing together a fragrance that is at once defiant and free. Eau Capitale is decorated with undulating calligraphy—the Eiffel Tower, emblematic roses, a proud peacock fanning its feathers and volutes intertwined. To design Eau Capitale, diptyque and Pierre Marie drew their inspiration from Parisian architecture and the distinct style of Art Nouveau.

Sensual and long lasting
I'm picky about my scent, as are many others.
My daily perfume is Eau Moheli, perfectly clean, soft, citrusy; receive so many compliments when I'm out and about. I just ordered a new bottle directly from Diptyque and with it I received a 2 ml sample of Eau Capitale and immediately went to Nordstrom.com to order; a plus was having a note to use, making it all the more satisfying to purchase.
This is a parfume not an eau de toilette; strong, long lasting, sensual scent. I use one spray only, that's how powerful I think it is and my personal preference is to wear in evening. I purchase a 100ml bottle of Eau Moheli about 3x a year, this 75ml bottle of Eau Capitale will last me a very long time.

Strange fragrance
I bought it with high hopes as I quite liked the hair mist, which I found to be rather elegant. But this one was quite the let down. Smells very masculine at first and after a while it gives way to some tart notes. It was neither sexy nor sweet — just meh! But what was more unacceptable was the throw and the longevity, which is also true for the hair mist. It stayed on my skin for all of 30 minutes after which no one could smell a thing. It was the same with the hair mist. I'd much rather recommend Do Son, which is worth every penny.

I sprayed this for fun because it was new and went to see a movie. During the movie I was thinking “what smells so good”. It was my arm but couldn’t stop smelling it. That’s when I knew i had to get this. I can’t describe the scent. I. Me it isn’t any of the notes listed. Just yummy though.

Love at first spray
Absolutely stunning scent, a bit fresh a bit spicy, quite long lasting and a compliment getter. I don't usually like rose or patchouli scents but for some reason put them together and you get this masterpiece. It's quite similar to portait of a lady, but I would say it's a lighter fresher version.

LUXURIOUS SCENT
I adore Dyptique fragrances and Eau Capitale is a welcome new addition to my perfume collection. It's quite a rich and heavy scent - bergamot and patchouli - but without being overpowering. Some may find it a bit much for hot, sunny days and consider it to be more of an autumn/winter scent.

Quality fragrance
This is another quality perfume from Diptyque. The bottle design and packaging feels very luxurious. The fragrance longevity is excellent. It starts off smelling of pink pepper and then moves into more of a rose/patchouli fragrance. I think it is quite a bold fragrance choice

Impressive
I am a fan of Diptyque fragrances on a shoe string budget so occasionally blow the budget. I love Do Son fragrance, my all time favourite, but this is my sneaky 2nd. I guess it's the rose in it that captures my heart. This has a lighter rose tone, but really beautiful as with all their fragrances.
