'Rouge Dior Baume' Natural Lip Treatment

I love this combination lipstick and lip treatment! It's the best of both worlds: fabulous, long lasting color in a wonderful soft formula that truly does leave my lips feeling so much softer during and after wearing it. The colors are saturated and last forever on the lips. I've worn mine through meals, multiple drinks--just water with lemon in it--and find that if carefully applied and very gently blotted, it doesn't leave any residue on my cutlery or glasses. If there was a clear version of this lipstick/treatment, I would probably wear that to bed instead of one of my infinite varieties of lip balms. BTW, I recommend avoiding all menthol, camphor and high amounts of mint in lip balms as those ingredients tend to dry out lips; which is ironic as they're in so many lip balms these days! The color selection is great and only a couple of them have any shimmer, which is wonderful as I find the Dior Addict and Addict Extreme lipsticks to be filled with shimmer and even metallic flakes that tend to migrate around the mouth area and are very difficult to take off as they leave flakes of metal on the lips and around the mouth--not a good look and very frustrating. However, Rouge Dior Baume does none of these things; they just provide a wonderful color and soften your lips and only 2 of their colors are shimmers, at least that I have found. Thus far I have Lili, a beautiful pink color; Coquette, a lovely somewhat bright pink/rose; and Lys Rouge, which is NOT the bright red that it appears on the computer screen, but instead is a soft, natural red that makes your lips look like you just finished eating some cherries and looks fabulous on my lips against my very fair skin. I'm not a red lipstick person by any stretch of the imagination but I love this color and am wearing it on a regular basis! I also have Bluette and Primrose on order and am considering a couple of other colors as well. Needless to say I'm hooked and since I'm in the process of replacing my lipstick collection as most of them are 5-10+ years old and are showing their age, not to mention I simply don't wear them anymore as I don't like the colors and/or formulas, so the Rouge Dior Baume lipsticks are by far my favorite choice for a new lipstick thanks to the fabulous colors and formula. Yes, the container is a bit smaller than the other Dior lipsticks and they cost a bit more than the Dior Addict lipsticks, but overall it's well worth the price for what your get: a long-lasting color that is providing your lips with amazing color and wonderful softening treatment. Give them a try; I suspect you'll be just as happy with them as I am. BTW, to get a better look at the color and ensure whether your choice has shimmer or not, pick your color from the menu and then roll your cursor over the lipstick in the tube to get an expanded view of the color. You'll also be able to see if there's any shimmer in the tube as it shows up as little dots in the color. This works for most Dior lipsticks; I haven't tried it for any other brands, but I suspect it will work for them as well.
