Forever Natural Matte Velvet Compact Foundation

Absolutely blown away by this foundation. I'm not a powder foundation gal, well now I am! This glides on effortlessly and leaves my face literally poreless. Smooth as silk with absolutely no sense of heaviness or irritation. I found the coverage to be a high light close to medium and buildable. (I do tend to wear less as I believe foundation should enhance not mask my skin). After 10 hours of wearing it had faded slightly yet my skin still looked airbrushed and soft and poreless. Truly amazing foundation. I have combo/often dehydrated mature skin that is uber sensitive. This wore like a dream. Especially amazing since I live in an extremely humid very hot climate. This minimized my pores and fine lines and truly does have a natural finish. I could still see a glow on my skin. Definitely NOT a flat matte. I've only worn it for three days yet find myself not wanting to reach for any of my other favorites which are Cle de Peau Radiant Natural Foundation and the new Radiant cream version in the tube.

Thank you for going back to the drawing board and relaunching this to the original one that I used for years. I really get tired of companies reformulating and discontinuing my faves. This is the best powder ever. Expensive yes. Worth it. Yes. Please keep as is. I get disgusted with companies tinkering with my holy grails.

It’s my first time ever trying a powder foundation and am overly excited at the ease of application and the smoothness of foundation. I have combination skin (dry overall and oily T-zone) with visible pores around T-zone and weak skin barrier. The compact opens easily; applicator is perfect size and easy to hold. The coverage is medium and can be achieved in just a few swipes and dabs. I favor the natural look so I’m more than satisfied with the coverage this compact provide. I often check the coverage while outside in sunny spots and my face looks spotless. I rub my face against a white cloth without using setting mist right after application and it barely transferred to the white cloth. My toddlers rub their hands and give me smooches throughout the day the the foundation stay in place without transferring to their hand/face. I stay outdoor in Texas heat all weekend long and foundation stay in place, feels comfortable and doesn’t melt. Hands down the best foundation thus far (I’ve used other Dior liquid foundation and Chanel’s, Korean CC cushions). I am curious to test this foundation when Texas weather gets drier and colder around November. I hope I still love this foundation compact then!

I use this along with the Dior foundation stick to take the shine away. Also take this in my purse for touch ups throughout the day. The foundation stick can be a bit oily throughout the day so this is helpful! Stays on all day but the only thing is I got 2.5 N in both but the colors are different. Powder is darker than the stick.

I have used several brands of foundation in the past, such as La Mer, Cle de peau, Sisley, Chanel. This isn’t my first Dior foundation but it’s the first purchase of this formulation. I love it. It’s the best I’ve ever tried. I’m 70 years old and it does wonders for my complexion. I don’t know how, since it’s undetectable on the skin. No settling in fine lines, just smooth flawless coverage. It has great coverage but weightless. Finally, the color: 2 rosy cool. I’ve not found a better match.
