'Diorshow Lash-Extension Effect Volume Mascara

I'm used to wearing Loreal from the drug store, but wanted to try something different. For the price I can't say it's much better. When it was brand new I was able to get the very corner lashes of both my inner eye and the outer eye lashes because of the wand and the "flow" of the mascara, but as it got older it dried out and no longer performed well. I know you should throw away mascara about every 6 months, mine is 3 months old and dried out. Funny because it says, " patented air-lock wiper prevents the formula from being in contact with the air, keeping the mascara from drying in the tube for fresh application day after day." If you read their study's on people who used this they only used it for 2 weeks...now really...how much could it dry out in 2 weeks? I'm looking for another formula.

This iis the last time I buy this mascara. This used to be my "go to" tube but in the last year or two I have noticed that every time I buy it the product dries up really fast. And this most recent time, the product arrived and it was drier than ever and in one week it started flaking. This cult icon has seen better days!

When a mascara contains so much perfume that it makes your eyes water, that's never a good sign! Even though my lashes are fairly long, I still would like to add a bit more volume and definition. Having read a beauty blog which featured 'Diorshow' in depth, I purchased a tube for myself from a Dior counter in NY. Initially it went on quite well, however on the 2nd coat it started to clump and flake. The flaking situation eventually got so bad that I had no choice but to remove the mascara completely. Initially I wondered if maybe the lash serum I'm using might have caused that, even though it had been well over 10 hours since applying it on the previous night, but it wasn't the case, because the same problem happened the next time I attempted to apply Diorshow on completely clean and product-free lashes. And once again my eyes were watering too. Did the formula change?? I’ve used this mascara for years and have loved it more than any other, including the “must tries” that have been recommended over the years. However, the most current tube is a bust. I can’t even tell I’m wearing it. Even with an eyelash curler it looks the same. It has no hold whatsoever. It seems runnier and smells like perfume, which is new and NOT a great feature for mascara. I tried an older tube today and it worked like a charm, so there’s something up with what is sold now. I’d like to think it’s a fluke, but don’t want to spend more money to test that theory.
