It's designed with a central shade, the signature of the palette, and four accessory shades that are used to create a multifaceted look. How to use: For a natural look, create a gradation effect using the medium shade on the entire mobile eyelid and the darker shade along the lash line. Highlight with the lightest shade beneath the brow arch and in the inner corner of the eye. For a sophisticated look, apply the lightest shade over the entire mobile eyelid. Contrast with the darker shade in the crease and along the lash line to create structure. Apply the medium shade in the outer corner and draw it out to widen the eyes.

Dior has always been one of my favorite cosmetic brands. I am a Beauty Junkie beyond belief and I have never been able to resist purchasing a few new Dior Palettes each season. Most of the palettes in the past have had two, maybe three colors I would wear, with the rest going to waste. However, this past year, everything seemed to change. Dior released a slew of Palettes, each more beautiful than the next. However, upon first inspection, at least for me, the colors in a number of palettes didn't make sense in terms of how to apply them, creating presentable looks one could actually wear to work. It was only after playing with the colors at the department store counter on my own that I realized the way to achieve the prettiest creations was by layering the colors, one on top of the other, something I normally wouldn't do. A case in point, one of my favorite palettes is Trafalgar. However, I have never seen such a strange variety of colors in any palette, no less a Dior palette. I couldn't figure out how to get the center red to work. Finally, as I was on the verge of giving up, I simply started layering colors on my hand, one on top of the other, beginning with the center red color, followed by the lower right color, then the lower left color. Lo and behold, the combination of all three colors, evenly dispersed one over the other, produced the most beautiful color I've ever seen, a color I couldn't attempt to describe. It was simply innovative and gorgeous. From there, it was easy to incorporate the last 2 remaining colors in the palette, producing a number of very pretty styles, none of which I've ever seen before. I actually caused a few heads to turn. As a redhead with green eyes, I NEVER would have believed these colors would work on my very fair skin. But this palette turned out to be probably one of my favorite for the season. I'm so happy Dior is beginning to experiment with bright, colorful beautiful colors in their palettes. I've never been a fan of the NUDE look and these new palettes allow one to use their imagination to come up with a plethora of styles, using ALL the colors in the palette instead of throwing away at least 2, which is a huge waste of money. I have only one complaint about these new palettes…..after spending an hour at the Dior counter trying to decide which palette to purchase, I get so frustrated with indecision and just purchase them all, leaving me with only a few pennies in my pocket. Well, at least I've finally discovered the secret to maintaining my girlish figure. Poverty has a way of doing that to you. Regardless, I may be poor but at least I look FABULOUS! And let's face it, isn't that really all that matters! (JUST KIDDING)

Criminal!
I have actually bought 2 of these in different colors, you'd think I would've learned my lesson the first time. The pallette and colors are so beautiful, but simply does not go on well and does not last.

#056 and #096 are great colors!
Shadows and mascara are Dior: The first photo I am using 5 Couleurs Couture' Eyeshadow Palette #056 BAR and the lashes I am also using DIORSHOW Maximizer 3D Primer with DIORSHOW mascara. The colors are great and last long.
The second photo I am using 5 Couleurs Couture' Eyeshadow Palette #096 PIED-DE-POULE and with the lashes DIORSHOW Maximizer 3D primer and DIORSHOW ICONIC OVERCURL. There is a difference with the lashes.
Great colors, long lasting and it does not fall under the eyes. No need for touch ups.

A beautiful set of eye shadows.
I bought Cuir Cannage for my hazel eyes & I love this quad. Subtle & flattering colors. They apply like silk. Not too shimmery or any glitter. Just soft glow to the shadows. Browns with a touch of plum to make them flatter a fair complexion. The colors work very well on my hazel eyes, but I would think they would be lovely on any eye color. The colors stay in place all day. No fading, creasing & no fall out.

I've used these shadows for nearly 20 years and every palette I've tried has been excellent.
Normally, I stay away from palettes since I end up using one or two colors and it's a waste of money and product. But there's something about these, the way the colors are designed and edited that you almost can't go wrong.
No matter what palette you choose, the colors are so well-balanced that they won't be too red or yellow in undertone. Even the pinks have a good neutral tone that nearly anyone can wear.
And the formula is divine. It is so finely milled, it almost feels like a gel creme, but it's definitely a powder. And that powder will sit exactly where you put it all day long. There's no creasing, even without any primer, on a bare lid. There's no migration and it doesn't fade easily.
The mattes are truly matte, but very densely colored and the shimmery colors are just that. There is no glitter (yay!) just a super flattering sheen.
I've used some of the darker colors as liner using a damp brush, without the powder degrading. They powders last forever and I feel really confident in recommending any of these, but my all time favorite is 166 Victoire.
Tip: Might as well throw away the little applicators in the compact. They're the only bad side of this product. They're virtually unusable and your brushes (or your fingers) are much better for applying this formula.

Golden Reflection s
Sadly this is a slight disappointment. The golden glitter shade in the middle doesn't adhere to my skin no matter what primer I use. After an hour I have glitter all over my face and in my eyes ,which irritates them and makes them red. The other shades are sheer to medium intensity. I really love the colors in the pan, but when applied I don't like this palette as much as I tough I would. It's mediocre at best. Dior Cuir Cannage is a dream, though.

Trafalgar Eye Palette
When I first saws the colors in this palette, I was hesitant to buy them. There is a lot of red in this palette and I thought it would be too much for daily wear, however, if you apply these shades with a light touch, they create a lovely sophisticated look perfect for fall. These shades make green eyes pop! They go on smoothly and last all day without creasing. I love this beautiful and unusual palette.
