This is How a Wedge Is Done

With all the wedges out this season it became tedious trying to determine what shoe actually looked good on my feet. Look no further - DVF knows a woman's body for clothes and, in this case, women's feet for a great looking shoes. The platform is perfect for the higher wedge which makes the leg look long and thin. While this shoe is not inexpensive - it looks like and is make like a true designer shoe. The wood of the wedge is solid and well stained, and the leather is a beautiful rich color. I got the brown pair and worn them for the first time and received 3 compliments in one hour. I anticipate wearing them with jeans, shorts, dresses and cargo pants - or, almost anything. They are comfortable and it appears the leather will give some.

Cute, not comfortable.

I've had these shoes for some time now and although I think they look as great with skinny jeans as they do with a dress or skirt, the shoes are NOT comfortable. The zipper causes blisters on the back of the ankle, and unless you have very narrow feet, the shoe can feel tight on the sides are several hours of wear. The leather is stiff and doesn't get softer over time. Also, good luck if you step on a pebble because you'll likely take a stumble! Although I like the look of these wedges, if I could go back in time I wouldn't buy them. They're over priced and a pain to wear, literally!

Cute, not comfortable.

I've had these shoes for some time now and although I think they look as great with skinny jeans as they do with a dress or skirt, the shoes are NOT comfortable. Way Cute!!!!

These sandals go with everything and the wedge is super comfrotable. I have them in black and always get compliments on them.

Gorgeous shoe!!

This shoe is truly gorgeous! The wedge has an architectural feel that makes it special. These wedges are cut a little narrow, and any overhang on the sides, just behind the front strap, would be a personal preference if you're ok with that or not. The leather is fairly soft, and is good quality. For reference, the leather on "natural soft vacchetta" is thicker and softer though. The wood of the wedge is a nice medium brown tone that allows the grain of the wood to show through, which I find very appealing. These wedges are a statement piece while being a classic style that can live in your closet for years! I highly recommend an investment in these.

Fantastic wedge sandals!

Based upon the previous reviews, I bought these online without trying them on. They really are very comfortable for being so high, and they are very versatile, going with long or short dresses, and crop pants and jeans. One thing that is challenging is to walk on even slightly uneven pavement as I could lose my balance easily (I am a size 5 but 5'8" tall) so a word of caution if walking on sidewalk or on cobblestone. They are stylish, well-made and comfortable.

great nude color wedge

I agree with other reviews that recommend ordering a half size smaller. I am between a size 8 and 8.5 and the 8 fit perfectly. They are comfortable for such a high wedge, and the nude color goes with EVERYTHING! Worth every penny, best purchase this season so far.
