Diamond Quilted Hooded Liner Jacket

In my experience, Bernardo products hold up well and have very good quality. To it's credit, this coat seems well constructed, is thin but warm, and has supersized pockets. However, this coat ran very large, the blue color was closer to grey in person, and this fit was boxy. Not boxy in a cool, lived in, modern way. Boxy in a weird proportioend way. It is not a good look on me (6', typical size 18, hourglass, broad shoulders).

This jacket is a very nice weight - it is thin, but it is warm! It has nice deep pockets and I love the detachable hood feature. The tag says it is water repellant too, which will be nice on the rainy days. I would recommend sizing down on this one. I usually am a large in coats to fit over my hips, but I was swimming in a large this time! I tried on the medium and it was like an all new coat - perfect fit and still plenty of room around my hips.

I like the jacket but I decided that I'd rather have snaps instead of buttons. I'm returning this one and I purchased another Bernardo jacket that is very similar but has snaps and a cinched waist. I usually wear a Large but the jacket ran big. I could wear a heavy sweater or jacket underneath and it would still be big on me. Very nice quality, so 5 stars, just not for me.
