What it is: An exfoliating cleanser that polishes away dulling skin to reveal smoother, fresh skin.
What it does: Its thermal technology drives benefits further into skin, inhibiting collagen-degrading MMPs and infusing skin with age-fighting ingredients. The powerful skin polisher also combines physical and chemical exfoliants to refine skin texture and enhance penetration of age-fighting vitamins into skin. Resurfacing microgranules gently polish off dulling skin cells to reveal smoother, fresher skin immediately.
How to use: After cleansing, apply to damp skin in circular motions for 1–2 minutes, avoiding the eye area. A more intense treatment can be achieved by using directly on dry skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use two to three times per week.

This exfoliant is the perfect balance of physical and chemical. It isn't too aggressive and can be used in specific areas, like oily or acne prone, to thoroughly slough dead skin cells. I particularly like to use this at least every 2 weeks whilst using a retinol, as it takes off the dead cells created by the retinol. I take a few days off from any exfoliants and retinols when I use this and I focus on simple, deep moisturising to ensure my skin barrier is supported. Great for all ages. Remember to use spf for at least a few days after using this, and avoid too much sun, as your skin is more delicate after thorough exfoliation (but you should ALWAYS spf everyday anyway!).

Damaged my skin barrier
LI love Dermalogica's daily microfoliant and have used it for years but wanted a weekly, more intense treatment and landed upon this.
I am pretty used to variety of AHAs, BHA and Retinal so actives are not new to me. I don't have sensitive skin and don't generally break out. So I was excited and looking forward to this one. It didn't do much the first time I used it on wet skin so tried on dry skin a few weeks later.. but dear God, it damaged my skin barrier. I didn't even know damaging skin barrier was a thing until I used this. The itchiness and irritation was unbearable for a few days after with everything burning my face. I had to order barrier relief products in desperation at midnight. It took me 2-3 weeks to bring my skin back to normalcy. Anyway, this happened about 2 months ago, my skin has since recovered but I have still not used any AHAs yet as I don't want to risk further damage. Meanwhile, this £65 product sleeps in the bathroom cabinet.
My advice would be to steer clear of this unless you have used extremely strong chemical exfoliants. It is just not worth the risk of damaging your skin. There are far more effective yet gentle products out there.

Treat
This is really a treat / treatment as it warms up as you massage it in to the skin and is really nice. It is a granular exfoliant but not scratchy it feels very nice and your skin feels warm and nourished I think it's a treat especially in winter and skin looks brighter and clear after use i only use it once a week

The best 'physical' exfoliant I've used
I love this scrub, I first purchased it after a spa used it on my skin during a facial in the lead up to my wedding. I have dry and dull skin and this really helps to prevent white flakiness and papery looking skin on my forehead. I wouldn't recommend using this more than once (maybe twice) a week, and I definitely wouldn't recommend using it amongst active ingredients - AHA's/BHA's make the skin more sensitive as they're working so you don't then want to physically exfoliate on top of that! Really like to use this to get soft, squeaky clean skin.

Effective and enjoyable scrub
I absolutely love this and have for years, one of the first items that got me into skincare. It is incredible effective, quite ;gritty; and warms up on the skin which is really interesting, i feel like theres nothing like it on the market. It smells lush. The whole experience is an enjoyment, the price is a little steep but worth it!
