Denim Trench Coat

Gorgeous coat....I think it is designed perfectly! However, I am 5'6" and the size medium hit right above my ankles. Notice the Nordies website model front view picture....model is probably very tall as most models are and it hits above her ankles! I took it out of package and it was darn near dragging on the floor like a duster coat. Unique though but if you are shorter you will have to have it tailored or not mind launderings because hem will get dirty:( Size wise I purchased both medium and large and i find the coat to size slightly, just slightly, oversized perfect for a light sweater underneath. I can keep the medium to have it appear more tailored on me. So true to size I guess. Well made and I especially like that this style is not structured through the shoulders so it is not tight thru back/upper arms. ALF produces gorgeously unique clothes!

This is a fresh take on the Napoleon collar/jacket that is much more practical than nappy’s, and waaaayyyy longer. The saddle/raglan shoulder construction is roomy and modern, and imo, a key factor in balancing the Napoleon collar and maxi length. The quirky patch pocketed rain guard in back is playful and functional…if the fabric of this coat is rainproof or Scotchguarded. It has a nice deep kick pleat in back for ease of walking. The midweight denim medium/light wash adds a casual vibe to the classic napoleon collar trench coat, even if it is less practical than rainproof fabric. It is a maxi length coat, so keep that in mind before buying. It can be altered, but keep it maxi length, proportional to your height. Overall, a generous fit and maxi length in denim makes this a unique coat for your wardrobe. Just don’t wear it in the rain.
