Great for a Petite
After reading the reviews, I ordered the charcoal skirt in three sizes. I could zip up my usual size but it was definitely too small. Two sizes up was too big at the waist and somehow looked off. One size up is quite flattering although snug. The waist actually fits, but keep in mind that is where I am smallest. Also, because I am 5’1” the slit hits well below mid thigh and the length is midaxi so modest enough for my requirements.

size up !!!
I’m normally a size 27. Due to the high waist in this I had to return it going to size up to a 30 to make sure it has enough room. The front slit is too high to wear in a professional setting, but will be fun to wear in the summer with chunky sandals and a fitted top.

Returned two different sizes
This was not true to size for me. I wear a 30 or even 31 normally and both sizes i couldn't even come close to the button snapping. Unless this is supposed to be worn under your armpits, this was tiny. Not for anybody with a thicker waist.

Flattering but I had to go 3 sizes up!
I saw those on sale in the store and tried on my normal size which is 24. These have a high waisted fit, I couldn't even zip it up. It was so tight around my glutes. I have a medium sized butt but fit. I'm 5'7", 127 lbs. I took a chance and ordered a 27 through the sales associate, thank goodness they fit perfectly. If you can find your right size there's a good chance you will like them.
