Denim Crop Shirt

I’ve been looking for a jacket like this for years!!! It’s the perfect cropped length, it’s lightweight and not bulky like a classic denim jacket, yet it’s thicker than a chambray denim shirt. I took it on a beach vacation and it kept me warm at night but never felt like it was too bulky to carry if I was warm. I’ve only had it a few weeks and already feel I’ve gotten my money’s worth just by wearing it daily on vacay! I’d say it runs slightly large, but if you want an oversized look, go with your normal size. I am typically an XS in tops but will go for an XXS small if I think it’s going to be oversized, and I’m glad I did for this one. It was the perfect size to throw over a t-shirt or dress. But I don’t think I’d be able to layer it over a sweater. For reference, I’m 5’4” and 128 lbs with pretty narrow shoulders. If you’re on the fence, just get it! It’s so cute and functional.

Perfect for layering over tanks and jeans, it’s in-between a denim jacket and chambray shirt. I’ve been wearing it pretty much non-stop. It’s really cute as a denim-on-denim with a similar shade of jeans. Can be worn open or buttoned. I’m 5’5” and got a small. It’s boxy but cropped nicely in the front.

Amazing, high quality denim that I've come to expect from Madewell. This shirt is so high quality, the denim is a good weight that will be perfect to wear on its own in spring/fall or something to bring as a layer in summer months. The material is super soft but without the polyester stretch. The shirt is intentionally oversized but still runs a tad large, so if you're between sizes I would size down unless you're looking for a truly oversized look.
