Delora Floral Long Sleeve Mesh Dress

Ever since I first saw this printed mesh dress online, I knew I wanted it. However, after buying it on sale in a size 4 and finally trying it on, I knew it was not for me. At 5'2" tall, I'm petite, while the fitted bodice of this misses-sized dress is cut for a much taller wearer. On me, the excess bodice fabric folded over at my waist and would have needed expensive alterations to fit me. This printed mesh dress is also sheer because it is lined with a solid black mesh fabric. Anyone wearing it who is not an exhibitionist would have to layer the dress with a jacket or wear a slip underneath it, which is hard to do with a fitted bodice. If this dress had been designed as an A-line silhouette, rather than a fit-and-flare, and had an opaque lining, I would keep it. Since it does not, it's going back.
