True Colors Gel Lab Pro Nail Polish Set

This is the perfect summer palette and the colors work well together if you want to try more than one at the same time. However, the application is only meh. The first coat is streaky and thin. While a second coat helps achieve a more popping color, the polish fell short of the richness of color you get with other brands. You'll need at least three coats to give you a polished, opaque look. Otherwise, expect some separation and streakiness. Hard pass.

I am *shook* that this has such bad reviews. I now own 5 sets of Deborah Lippmann nail polish, in addition to one-off single full-size bottle purchases, and this was the second set I ever bought. I have had zero issues with this chipping and it has consistently lasted 5-10 days for me for each color when coupled with the DL gel lab pro top & base count AND a top & base from target. The colors in this set are cute and look like the photos (which isn’t always the case) and apply evenly. I can’t stress enough how high maintenance I am - look at my other reviews for an idea of my purchase history but as a tech executive I have exactly zero time for manicures and thanks to quarantine have been stuck doing my own. This brand and these polishes have helped me transition off of dip nails and each time I’ve taken them to the nail techs they’ve been impressed with the formula and asked me where I purchased them (this has happened in SF and in Aspen & rural WI so far.) I think it must be a body chemistry thing where they work well on some people and not others. I’d highly recommend trying for yourself and returning if they don’t before shying away from these based on the other reviews. Finally, my favorite sets based on what I own are: 1) Bed of Roses 2) Welcome to Paradise 3) True Colors 4) Wild Berry 5) I forget the name but the cooler colored nude set. Personal preference he was all have lasted well

The colors are fun, and after applying 2-3 coats and clear coat, the finish result it’s beautiful. The nail polish in my hands has last up to a week and in my toenails about two weeks. The bottles have just enough nail polish to get us through summer, then we will be ready to try the fall colors.

I agree with the other reviewer here that said they don't understand the negative reviews! I have had the dark pink color on my toenails for almost 4 weeks...yes four weeks without any chips whatsoever! JFYI, I also have other Lipmann shades with the same formula and these also last ridiculously long! It's time to take this color off and try another one but I can't decide to try the green, blue, or purple!
