[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The clamshell layout was ideal for the load I needed to take to Namibia for a plains game safari. One wears a set of clothes, carries a day's clothes in carry-on, and you pack a set of clothes in your checked bag (where ammunition must go in a locked hard case). Laundry is done each day in camp. I also took a Weather Wool hoody (3 lbs. ) in the 44L Daylight. The laptop sleeve held not only my Mac, but also the prodigious amount of paperwork required for rifle permits, customs forms, doctor's letters explaining medically necessary items, etc.. The Tomtoc tech pouch went in there, laser range finder, monocular, Columbia wide-brimmed hat, one set of clothes (underwear, socks, shirt, Wrangler work pants) & snacks. The medically necessary items (pill bottles, api pens) went into an oblong packing cube, which then was stuffed into the bottle sleeve for easy/quick access on the way through TSA. I selected this carry-on because it was a fraction of an inch under the Lufthansa carry-on dimensions in HxLxW. Their personal item dimensions are so tiny that I was forced to get a Quasar sling bag and needed maximum capacity in my carry-on to pick up the slack. Neither United nor Lufthansa checked the dimensions nor weight for this carry-on. Had they checked the weight, I would have been forced to pull the Weather Wool hoody out to "wear" it on the plane, as I was right at the 17.5lbs weight limit and the hoody busted that. I believe the dark color helped it look svelte and avoided such scrutiny. On the safari, the bag served as my daypack, carrying gear for the day to the truck. (Wool hoody, merino beanie & balaclava, gloves, water, snacks, monocular, shirt, ammo) 10 days of bouncing around in the truck, 2 days of travel each way from MO to Namibia and back, and it looks brand new still. The shoulder straps are just barely large/long enough for my 48" chest, so another 1-2" of strap length there wouldn't hurt. However, for most people, I am sure the straps will be long enough/adequate. The AirTag pocket is useful/perfect for it's task. The straps were comfortable under a 20 lb. load. The grab handles work well and are useful for heaving the bag in and out of overhead bins, & picking it up off the floor to put the bag on. Perfect match of gear to task for this bag.

Super
Originally ordered the 35l which was not big enough. This is spacious enough for a weekend or lightly packed week and comfortable to carry. My 8 year old was able to manage it also for a school trip. Light, packs down and looks smart.

Hidden treasure
This bag is excellent for a light way to travel. It’s big enough to carry a couple of weeks worth of clothes without being too heavy,
I’m about to travel for 18 days round Japan with it 🤞🏻

Internal and external compression straps!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Internal and external compression straps! Just took it on a 7-day trip to England and returned with one clean pair socks and boxers (i. e. room to spare).
Love it.
