Chatelaine Ring with Morganite and Diamonds in 18K Rose Gold

Whew! I was apprehensive when I saw the first few reviews but realized that the writers don’t sound familiar with morganite stones. All morganite, whether light or dark pink, precious or semi-precious, require brushing to stay sparkly. Otherwise, oils from the hands, chemicals, soap buildup, etc. will cover morganite rings with a film which shows easily (not as quickly for morganite pendants or earrings). They’re also apparently becoming rarer as the DY associate explained to me; hence more sightings of them in gold rather than silver. Having learned this about this before purchasing, I purchased the ring and have taken the extra care needed to keep it stunning to look at everyday.

Beautiful David Yurman piece with morganite, a rare semi-precious stone, cousin to more familiar beryls like Emerald and Aquamarine. This single morganite in a cushion cut makes for a great alternative to a diamond engagement ring, not only because of its pink beauty but also its durability. What owners of Morganite must understand before purchasing, though, is that morganite easily clouds and requires care (toothbrush, dishwashing soap in warm water will do). Then, it sparkles like new again.

My fiancé bought me this an engagement ring and it’s perfect! Because it’s a morganite stone it does require weekly cleaning to keep its beautiful shine but for the price I don’t mind with the upkeep!

This ring is stunning! It is delicate and feminine with sparkle to spare... the rose gold band coordinates beautifully with the Morganite center stone. The cushion cut allows light to enter the stone on all sides and sits up higher to capture every glint!

Horrible experience. Beautiful ring, horrible quality. Within days of purchasing, the ring looks completely different. Diamonds fall out so easily, the stone is so clouded and dirty and no longer sparkles, a horribly made ring. Very disappointed with David Yurman and their customer service. I would not purchase anything from David Yurman again and would strongly advise against purchasing anything with a Morganite stone from them. I have since heard similar complaints of the clouding of the stone, it now looks like a dirty, cheap, diamond instead of a morganite; the color and sparkle are gone. Ridiculous for the price paid.

My husband bought me this ring as a surprise for my birthday. After two weeks of having the ring and caring for it, it is completely cloudy and looks like it came from a gum ball machine. Please do not buy this ring, the other woman's review on here completely mirrors my experience. I have one other David Yurman ring and it is extremely high quality. However, I felt like like my husband burned 1000 when he bought this for me.
