Excellent quality elegant silk vest
This is a very elegant black silk vest. It is excellent quality and is soft and comfortable. It has an adjustment at the back to tighten it and make it fit perfectly. My husband is 5' 6" and wears a medium. It fit him very well.

So much better than a cumberbund
A great-looking vest for black tie. For men that do not have washboard abs, the cumberbund just adds bulk and tends to fit poorly. This vest is so much more slimming and nicer.

For the buyer of formal wear.
The vest is great. However, Nordstrom's buyer needs to provide an array of fancy vests other than just basic black. Frankly, cummerbun's are awful to wear, especially for men of generous proportions. A vest, works much better and if we had a diverse selection that one could easily find, say, in the UK, for instance, it might goose sales in the formal wear department.

This item is very much a slim fit design I wear a 46L jacket An there was no way to get this on.
It was as if the vest size was labeled in error

nice material but sizing is off
I have a 38 chest and 30-in waist. The "small" size of this vest is supposedly for people with my waist but a smaller chest. I ordered this vest and the medium knowing that I would need to have one of them altered for a custom fit, but I didn't realize how much. The chest of the small is just right for me, but oddly the waist is too big. Even with it cinched all the way in the back, it's still loose -- yikes!
