Comfortable, Versatile, Perfect
I love love love this Sam clog. I got the all black version and it is the least 'Dansko" looking clog I own -- I don't want to wear shoes that are 'too clog like' or look like I stepped out of a Vermeer painting. These clogs are very comfortable: they have just the right amount of lift/height and have wonderful arch support. I pursued ballet for 20 years and now my feet are paying the price -- Dansko is one of about three brands of shoes I can tolerate.

Totally Off-Sized
I am super, super disappointed in these clogs! I usually wear a 37 in Danskos, but took the "go one size up" recommendations. The 38 is super small! My toes are right up to the front, my heels were hanging over the back, and I felt like the sides of my feet were pouring over the sides. They are so cute and wanted them so bad so I ordered yet another size up. Well, 39 was super huge. I have about 1/2 - 3/4 inch extra in the back. I'm wondering if the 38's were mis-marked in size? I want to order a third pair, but I'm a bit tired of running back and forth to make the returns. Grrrrrr...

Not regular sizing
I have worn Danskos for many years and I always get size 39. I have a bunion and hammertoe and the toebox on these shoes is shorter than normal and as a consequence, size 39 does not fit. Just to give people a heads up, if you have any foot problems whatsoever, you probably want to size up. They also seem to be smaller than the regular size 39 overall.

Fit issues
These are darling Danksos that I was hoping to wear with casual dresses and pants. I have worn various Dankso sandals, clogs, and boots for years, always size 38 EU. This was the first pair that did not fit me comfortably. I wore them inside the house for a few hours, mostly sitting at my desk working. My normal size, 38 EU, felt tight across the toe box and a bit short. After a bit, they caused my feet to tingle from lack of circulation. I returned those and ordered a 39 EU. Alas, in the larger size I felt like a child playing dress-up in mommy's shoes. The toe box area was too big and I had almost 3/4" of space at the heel. Too bad there is no 38.5 size!

Newest edition of Dansko Sam
Dansko Sam came out a few years ago. It is attractive, not clunky, and very comfortable. However, this newer version, which appeared last spring, has a slight defect. The ankle strap is slightly higher, but not longer. Tight and high makes it cut into the ankle, and brings discomfort where it was once comfortable. Too bad!
