Paisley Waterproof Sneaker (Women)

How it happens is a mystery of the universe but in the last 40 years my then size 6 1/2M feet have grown to be 8 1/2 - 9 size and widened more than a little as well and in particular my left foot. In spite of this it had never occurred to me to order a Wide width in a shoe because my feet have always been shaped like a duck's...wider at the front but average across the instep and narrow at the heel. And my left is wider than the right. Dankso in 39M has fit me reasonably well in the past and so that is what I ordered for this shoe as well. Nordstrom didn't show a W option for this. But the shoe arrived as 39W, Dansko shipped directly on behalf of Nordstrom, and happy error it was because the 39W fit both of my hard to fit feet just right! Lots of room in the wider toe box, good arch support, lacing across the instep and with socks the heel is fine too. These are more what I'd call a hiking or sidewalks in rainy weather shoe than a sneaker given the design and waterproof materials which also means they aren't flexible as one would expect a sneaker to be. The Walnut color is a nice neutral.

Am trying to return this item. Fed ex supposed to pick up. Monday no pick up as Nordstrom scheduled. Reschedule pick up for Tuesday. Nordstrom provided information that would be picked up between 9a and 10a. Another no show. Third call to Nordstrom stated no pick up is from 10a-6p. And fedx does no pick ups on Monday. Ok. Twice have been given incorrect info about pick up of return. And on top of that customer service says 8-10 days for refund once returned. This is not cool. When purchase made monies immediately come out of my account. So a timely refund should be due customer. Sick and tired.
