I read a lot of reviews that complained about the size, material, and quality of the bag. So, after a few weeks of use, here's my honest review.
I'm an over-packer, and I LOVE pockets, so this bag was ideal for me. I use it for work, but it can be easily used for travel (depending on your airline, it will work as a carry-on), the gym, or your overnight bag for a weekend getaway. Yes, the bag itself is heavy; it's a heavyweight canvas. So it can withstand a beating. It has a coated internal lining that will protect your contents from getting wet if you sit in a puddle or someone knocks something over on the floor. If your water bottle leaks or you just happened to spill your iced coffee in your bag, your SOL, but the floor will be dry, lol. This bag allows me to pack three notebooks, a 13-inch laptop, a 40 oz hydro-flask, a full-sized makeup bag (spare toiletries, makeup, etc.), a collapsible umbrella, a small wallet, and an oversized sweater. (Think heavy-weight cardigan) My iPhone and oversized airpod case fit amazingly well in the front pocket (a passport would also go great there)
Overall, this bag is excellent and gets a bad wrap. So if you're a packrat and need a big bag, this is it.

Wow!!! It's REALLY BIG
This bag is HUGE ! Not what I expected at all. This is sold as a plane carry on but it's too big. The small could be a little bigger

Simple and heavy
I suspect it's my own fault that I bought this bag with the weight clearly listed in the description. I took on a work trip and realized too quickly that it was too heavy and too bulky. The smaller version is just a tad too small so looking at other options. It's a heavier version of the Land's End Boat Totes.

Perfect bag to organize everything
I had no choice in colors if I brought it from Nordstrom,(vs. from the company) so I was forced to the Hot Spice color. Really would have like this bag in black. The description is actuate so those who question the size of this bag, and did not use a measuring tape to judge the size before ordering I have been there, but learned my lesson if I id not premeasure. This designers label is new for me, so I am adjusting to its style and material. I like the key chain, the bottle holder, the lots of storage and the casual look. I do not think I would use it for work though. I will be traveling south soon and thought it would be great bag to throw inside the car and to be able to grab and look inside to find things as I drive without having to fish around for items in my purse while driving. That can be distracting on the highway. I took off a point on the rating for the color. Nordstrom should have purchased this bag in black. Overall I recommend it for its size and ability to organize our items we ladies carry.

Nice bag in cream
I purchased both the black and the cream color. The black looked like it would lose its color from contact with my clothing, and I was afraid of dye transfer. It had a dull and linty look right out the plastic - the black was returned.
The cream however is the dream. It’s fits everything I need for work - my laptop, my lunch, my 40oz hydro flask, 3 glasses, a clutch with my personal stuff, and few pouches of work and personal items. I’ve been carrying it for a few weeks and I’ve been pretty hard on it, and so far it looks pretty good. I thought it would look dingy and dirty but it doesn’t, it’s also kept its structure. It’s similar to a boat bag, but better. It has the double strap, and all the pockets are a dream. If you’re like me and need to take everything to work then this is the way to go.
