Dakota Large Neoprene Backpack

I wanted to love this bag, but ended up returning it. Really comfortable straps and having a dedicated laptop compartment is great, but it doesn't have additional padding if you happen to drop the backpack. The water bottle pockets do not stretch much, so make sure your water bottle is small or you'll have to put it inside. But as other reviews have mentioned, if you use the outside pocket, then the inside pocket will be pretty unusable. The deal breaker for me were the zippers. Not only are you jingle-jangling with every step, they got stuck easily. The zipper on the "hidden" back pockets would get stuck in the area where the laptop compartment zipper and water bottle pockets met. The zippers inside the main compartment were hard to use with one hand, as the material is a slippery lightweight nylon. The zippers for the front, main, and laptop compartments were smooth.

The perfect bag for travel! The large size is spacious and has so many pockets to hold everything I need. The neoprene is soft and makes the backpack comfortable to wear, even when it’s packed full. I usually pack my necessities in the bag and slip in under the seat in front of me on flights, and I still have enough leg space to stretch out. I’ve had my backpack for over two years and it’s durability it great. 5 stars all around!

Great quality, with pockets galore. Lightweight makes it great for travel. I love how snug the suitcase strap is so it’s very secure. Main pouch is roomy. Professional looking enough to hop off the plane and head straight to my meetings. It lives up to the #1 rated women’s travel/computer backpack. I highly recommend.

Not worth the price!!! Lots of storage and looks great, but the neoprene material is extremely smelly. It smells like a mix of tires/gasoline. I tried washing the smell out but it still reeks. It also took a few days to air dry which was a little annoying. I’m afraid everything I put in it will smell of it. I’m also afraid to put it my closet because I don’t want all my clothes smelling like it. I want to return it but not sure if I can since I already removed the tags and washed in. I’m hoping overtime the smell will go away because besides that, the bag looks really good and is full of conveniently placed pockets and large enough to fit all my things without being bulky.

I absolutely LOVE this backpack, but ultimately I returned it because: 1) There is no stretch to the side pockets for a larger water bottle and even the inside pockets don’t fit one (I am using my 32 oz Owala as a reference) 2) The zipper only closes on the side where you would put a water bottle and it’s totally in the way. They should add another zipper so you have more control over opening/closing. I use my water bottle daily for work, plus traveling would be a pain, so this was just a major deal-breaker for me. If they fixed these issues, I’d for sure be back to buy one!

I love the bag. It's roomy, soft, has everything I want in a bag - except that the zippers clink, jiggle, and make noise with movement. I wanted to keep the bag - but can't picture myself getting used to it. Disappointed - wish someone had walked around with the bag before production to address.
