Breakfast Highlands Candle

So glad Nordstrom is now carrying DS & Durga! This candle is incredibly unique which is such a draw for me. We’ve had enough of all the recognizable, overdone fragrances. It does it’s name justice, it’s a full robust Scottish breakfast. Smells like very Smokey bacon, bitter tea, and toast. As you continue to smell it, you do get some softer mossy notes making it really well balanced. This candle absolutely transports me to a little Scottish inn with a hearty breakfast on its way. It doesn’t smell American, and I love it for that! It’s very grounding, and perfect for someone who hates fresh/clean scents but wants a morning candle. Great den/or man cave vibes too. If you love the UK, and love Smokey scents, definitely give it a try. Never smelled anything like it. And that’s a rave from me… I only want the most unique intoxicating candles around! PS. The amber glass is gorgeous, and I’m totally saving for a tea light holder when it’s gone.

I hate to be mean but this smells really really bad. I smelled it and I guess I pressed my nostrils too close to it, as I could smell it for half an hour afterward. Which is weird because I don’t have hair, so it must have lingered on my nose skin. I feel that this is a small husband and wife company, and I feel really bad for giving a neutral review … however … I feel I should. Their other product I received smelled brilliant however. Car freshener, in the same scent? Weird!
