Cutout Long Sleeve Ribbed Midi Sweater Dress

This is my first purchase from this brand and my expectations were low at this price point, but I really love this dress! I love the idea of a sweater dress but have never found one that is actually flattering, until now. This dress is both demure and sexy, which seems like a weird combo but it's achieved. I'm 5'7", size 4-6 and the small is perfect. I have athletic arms/shoulders and it's a tad tight up top but you can't see that it's tight - I can just feel it. I didn't have issues with protuberances as another reviewer mentioned (great use of vocab, btw), even though my regular size has an inch or two or give at the hips. It's still bodycon without being skin tight. But this is my body type, too - wider shoulders/back and a small waist/hips. Either way I would say that the dress is true to size. I tried it on after eating a big meal, and it was surprisingly forgiving, which I would not expect from a ribbed bodycon sweater dress. I can go either way with the buttons at the waist and may just remove them. They aren't functional, and really don't add anything to the look in black. They might make more sense on a different color where you can actually see that they are buttons.

The sewing on the sides are not even so it gives the sides to show some irregular protuberances . I took it to different tailors but i couldn’t find any that have the machine to sew that kind of material . Since the dress was not expensive and fit very nicely I did some adjustments by hand . I won’t wear that to go for a nice dinner but is ok to go shopping .
