What it does: The 1500-watt cordless kettle quickly brings water to the exact heat and keep it at temperature for 30 minutes, so you don’t have to wait for your second cup. And for those who enjoy coffee, this kettle also features a French press preset to bring out the full flavors of your coffee grinds every time.

Additional features: The one-touch controls with blue LED indicators makes brewing an easy task. The Memory feature allows kettle to be lifted off base for two minutes without shutting off or losing its place in the brewing process. It also features a blue backlit water window, 360-degree swivel cordless connector, stay-cool nonslip handle, concealed heating element to prevent mineral buildup, removable/cleanable scale filter and an auto shutoff and boil dry protection.

Almost as good as what it replaced
I got this to replace a stove top teakettle that had developed pinhole leaks after five decades. The pour-over coffee setting is very useful--I used to guess when the water had cooled enough and wasn't very good at it. For what it's worth--not much--the time to a boil for my black tea is a little slower, though. What I find hardest to get used to is the handle. My old kettle lifted from directly above; this one lifts from the side, and the torque generated by raising three pounds or so (1.5 liters) of water that way is considerable. The fact that the control buttons are unexpectedly stiff acknowledges this: they allow you to hold the handle close to the top without disturbing the settings, and that helps some. But if you're used to lifting your kettle from above you should be prepared for the difference, and if you have arthritis you may want to consider something else.

Simply the best!
This is a superb device. Replaced our prior one with the same after it finally started leaking after literally multiple x/day use over 14 years. Gets the job done with great capacity, rapid heating (even to boiling), and multiple temperature options for various teas. Our family loves this thing and it’s a true bargain!

Not worth the trouble
I received this as a gift four months ago, now it doesn’t work. It worked fine for a few months, then it would sometimes start flashing and beeping and not work. For a couple of weeks, I tried making sure it was level and secure, wiped down the counter, stand and bottom of kettle and then it would work. Now it happens every time I try to use it and there’s no getting it to work. If you google this problem, you’ll see it’s quite common. This is a kettle, not complicated - it should just work.
