Thick sweater for cold days
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a women. I find mens sweaters to be somewhat better quality. This is thick and i feel really warm during cold days. There is some bubbling but i rather wear natural fibers than polyester

Awesome sweater
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the red one and it instantly became one of my favorite sweaters. Warm, comfortable, washable, and the wide cabling is a stylish change from most cable knit sweaters.

Not the best quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit is true to size but the quality is disappointing. I wear wool a lot and this was a very low quality wool which made it extremely itchy. The cable design in black is also hard to see because the material is so fuzzy. When I pulled the sweater from the package it had so many fuzzies already attached to it. Not worth it for the price.

Very long, not as red as pictured
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago for my husband for Christmas. Obviously he hasn’t opened it and tried it on, yet. It just looks like it’s made for very tall people (he’s 5’10”). Hoping I don’t have to return it.

Disappointed
I was really excited to get this sweater in the garnet color. I used the size chart and got an XL because my chest is 44. Got it in the mail today, put it on, and it’s like a huge sack. I should have ordered a large or maybe even a medium. Now the color is sold out. I’m not a review writer kinda guy, but I’m mad at how inaccurate the sizing chart is. Mind you, I’m nobody’s medium, but even my wife said it looks three sizes too big. Well, that’s it Madewell, you’re never seeing me again!

Exactly what I was looking for!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this sweater for Black Friday - I have been searching for a chunky knit solid black sweater for a while that went well with layered looks for the winter time. I am happy to say I finally found my sweater! This is definitely a warm sweater, and paired with an underlayer and jacket has kept me insulated in freezing and below freezing temps and cold wind. I will say it sometimes gets itchy around the neck area, so I usually pair it with a turtle neck layer. My fit rating may be skewed as I am female but technically this sweater is geared towards a male body type, but overall the sweater is loose fitting all over. Very cozy vibe.
