Honestly my new favorite
I personally LOVE this formula, and I like it way more than the original creme de la mer. It's so cooling, and feels amazing on my skin. I like putting it on before bed and I wake up with my face literally feeling like a baby bottom. A little of it goes a long way, so the jar will last you a long time. The cooling feel is perfect for summer, after being out in the sun all day.

TERRIBLE for sensitive skin
This gave me chemical burns all over my face and neck. If you have sensitive skin do not use this stuff. I wouldn’t say I have the most sensitive of skin but be careful with this stuff.

not hydrating enough
I definitely used enough (as much as one should need to apply) and it was... fine. The first night I thought I liked it but the next few nights, I just didn’t find it hydrating enough.

This moisturizer is perfection, especially when you use the Concentrate under it. If you’re in the fence and want to pace yourself to get the most out of La Mer, first invest in the concentrate and try a more reasonable line for everyday moisture. That said, I use the cool gel for daytime and the soft cream in the evenings - always over concentrate and I even add the renew oil for a little glow (you can get the glow with any oil).

My perfect summertime moisturizer!
A cooling and very moisturizing gel cream that's perfect for the summertime. I use the La Mer soft moisturizing cream Spring through Winter but in the summer, I need a lighter yet effective moisturizer. I've been using a variety of La Mer skincare products over the past year resulting in remarkable and visible improvement on my mature skin. The investment is worth every penny. This is a must-have in my skincare routine every night.
