Gender Inclusive Waffle Weave Organic Cotton Robe

Fabric is lovely and robe is too, BUT it shrinks substantially after one wash. I'm a 5'6" female and 134 pounds and ordered a small per the sizing guidelines above. Shoulder seam is right at my shoulders; sleeves are now at my wrists; length is right below my knee; and overlap/wrap across the front is about 6". It's a fit, but not a super generous one.

I was looking for a lightweight robe for warmer months and this robe is so perfect. I researched the sizing on the Coyuchi website and based on recommendations I sized way up because of shrinkage. I'm 5'3, 140 pounds and went with the M/L. It was huge before washing and now it fits perfect after a warm water wash and dry. Exactly as pictured. The cotton is so soft and it's the perfect summer weight for my coastal California climate. I'm really happy with this robe :)

The cotton fabric is very comfortable. Sizing is a bit odd -- after washing the length is good, but the sleeves are long. Worst part is the placement of the two belt loops -- way too high. If I was six feet tall, loops this high might work. As it is, the loops feel like they are under my armpits.

I love Coyuchi bedding. Ordered this robe expecting great quality and super-soft fabric, both of which this piece has in abundance. The color is stunning in person. However I had to send it back. I’m a woman — size 16/18, five feet nine inches tall. I’m what you’d call an hourglass shape. I like to say I’m “an hour and a half.” I ordered the L/XL in this unisex style. What a mess. The arms are super long — comically so. I had to roll up the sleeves three times to reach my mid forearms. The top half of the robe was large/oversized on me (particularly in the armpits) but there wasn’t enough fabric to completely wrap around my (ample) hips to conceal my … you know. It’s also VERY long. I’m a tall woman and this fell about four inches above my ankles. Definite trip hazard going up and down stairs at home. This piece just isn’t cut for a woman with hips.

I had another waffle weave robe that wore out and I really like them for out of the shower wear so I ordered this one. I got size Medium/Large, am female, 5'6" and usually wear a Misses size 10. When I tried on the robe out of the package, is swamped me - ankle length, far too big across the shoulders, and the sleeves covered my hands. I washed the robe in cold water and put in the dryer on the lowest setting (cool). The robe shrunk 7-8 inches in length and enough across the shoulders to make the sleeves an appropriate length. I just hope it does not continue to shrink on each wash. The fabric is soft and comfortable to wear. But to be truthful, I don't think the quality of this robe is commensurate with the price because of the shrinkage issue (the manufacturer should have pre-washed the fabric to eliminate this issue) and the stitching is uneven with lots of loose threads. When I need another robe, I will probably search out another brand.
