Cotton Crewneck Sweater

This is a nice, feminine sweater that can probably be worn year-round. Lightweight and soft. I would size up a full size at least if you don’t want it to be skin-tight. I ended up giving my usual size Small, to my daughter, and I bought another in a Large. The Large fits perfectly with just a little extra room, but a medium would have been form-fitting. I’m 5’3” 128lbs and 34D for reference.

This looked incredibly cheap when it arrived; not at all the quality I usually expect from Madewell. The material looks almost like plastic and does not feel very nice to touch. The fit was fine and I liked the idea of it, but the execution was sorely lacking and this went straight to the return pile.

I purchased a small and as other reviewers have mentioned it does run slightly small. I am debating if sizing up would make me like this top better. I have tried it on 2 times now and I feel like the fabric is already stretching out. The quality of Madewell has not been there on this anni sale. Disappointing. A redeeming quality is the pattern / detail of this top. I thought it would add texture to jeans or a running around weekend outfit.

I'm usually a small in most sweaters and sometimes a medium. I expected this brand to run a little small so I ordered a medium and I actually thought I was sent the wrong size when I pulled it out of the package as it looked liked it was sized for a child. I reordered it in a large and the body fit fine but the arms were large and droopy. Disappointing as it's a pretty style but the sizing just didn't work for me.
