Cotton Barn Jacket

I bought this jacket less than a month ago, 18 October 2025, in Olive. I loved the design and the material feels very soft. I wore it once for a simple stroll through a pumpkin patch, nothing rough or anything that would put extra wear on the jacket, and the color faded on one side. I thought it was dust at first, so I wiped it gently with a cloth, but it turned out the color had actually faded. I took it to two different dry cleaners and neither of them wanted to take it in. Both said the discoloration was a permanent color fade and pointed to a fabric defect. I am not sure if this happened during packaging or storage and I didn't notice right away, but the color clearly wears off very easily. If you are looking for a long term barn style jacket, this is not it. Very disappointing, especially because I was debating between this and a Barbour, but many Barbour styles are waxed cotton. Trust me, this is not it if you want it for the long run.
