Comfort Chic Underwire Full Coverage Minimizer Bra

I have been wearing Chantelle’s C Magnifique Minimizer, Style 1891, for years in a 34 F. The 34 F was beginning to cut me in the front at my cleavage and I realized I needed a different size. Thought I would give the Comfort Chic a go as the Chantelle website refers to this bra as a minimizer. The pros: Chantelle quality is always top notch; the bra has side slings to help your breast not land in your armpit and the fabric is soft and cooling. The cons: The fabric is not supportive enough if, IMHO, you are larger than a E (DD in USA terms); the straps are not restrictive enough; and most importantly, on the “G” cup, there are only two hooks on the band for support. The band is the most important aspect of a bra as the band is responsible for holding your breasts up. Two hooks in the band is not enough to hold up a weighty “G” bosom, not to mention “H” or “I”. As I am petite, I loved my Chantelle “1891” minimizer but when you get to a G cup, the FOUR hooks in the back creates a band that is so wide that you feel you are wearing a straight jacket. Four hooks are probably good if your band is 38, but it is torture on a 34. Suggestion to Chantelle: Do a THREE hook back across the board on the Comfort Chic, make the straps a bit more restrictive, use a more supportive cup material, keep the side support sling, then in my estimation, Chantelle will have a minimizer as good, if not better, than the 1891.

The band fit and was nice, wide and soft and that's really the only thing i liked about it. The straps had way too much give to them, very stretchy which is not wanted, needed when one has larger boobs. I found the cups to run a little narrow causing the side/back of my boobs to spill out, and I even went up in the size of my cup. i have a different style in this brand which I like(d) and wear a smaller cup size. Sadly the quality and sizing consistency of this brands bras or at least the stock sent and sold by Nordstroms has really slipped and it is no long reliable in my books. Sadly I will be returning this bra.
