Newton Ridge^™ Plus Wide Waterproof Hiking Boot (Women)

I bought these boots two years ago to work on a blueberry farm six weeks each year. I am so disappointed in the durability. The upper fabric has pulled away from the sole at the toe on both shoes and on the side of one shoe and so they are no longer water proof. You can see from the soles that I haven’t abused them! (Well, I tried to upload pictures but not having success)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don’t get these if you’re hoping for a waterproof hiking boot. I had Columbia hiking boots that were 15 years old and tattered and they maintained their waterproofing. These? I’ve had them just over a year, was out in the rain for the first time in them, and my feet are sloshing in the boots. The way they design the holes for the laces now also make it challenging to truly tighten the boot—there’s too much friction.

Bought these on clearance months ago. Wore them for the first time today. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. One of my feet has chronic issues with the little toe getting a pinch ulcer from it being curled under. I didn’t even need my silicone toe cap with these shoes. I was on my feet all day and not once did my little toe hurt. I can’t remember the last time I went all day with no issues, even with the toe cap. I have the black ones with the gray bottom. The leather must be full grain because every scuff buffed out with just my finger. Also, no creasing occurred on top of the shoe, which tends to happen with smooth leather. They must be made from sturdy leather. I couldn’t be happier with the quality and comfort.
