Heavenly Water Resistant Insulated Coat

I am so confused by this coat- is it supposed to make you COLDER? I was so excited to get a good-dog walking coat now that I moved to a really cold climate and and went out in 34 degree weather and had to take it off because I was so cold- I was actually warmer taking it off. Am I missing something here? The outer shell gets absolutely frozen, which radiates directly into the inner foil-looking shell that then gets cold- like the inside of a lunchbox. I stuck my hand into my waist area after about 20 minutes and the jacket was cold on the INSIDE. Is this some high performance coat for joggers or skiers or something like that or does the warmth kick in at 20 or 10 degrees? I can't return it unfortunately so looking forward to wearing this jacket in the summer. On the good side it looks nice, fits small to size so get a larger size, and has cool pockets just don't get it for warmth.

Love this coat! I wore it throughout Spain in January and it was ideal for travel—warm without being heavy or overheating. It folds up easily and fits into a backpack, which made it perfect for sightseeing and changing weather. Stylish, practical, and travel-friendly. I’d absolutely buy it again.
