Colorluxe Eyeshadow Stick

I’m quite pleased with these! I’ve now purchased 5 of them- midnight, americano, dove gray, saddle and alabaster. They are very creamy and go on extremely easy- no tugging whatsoever. And they blend like a dream. I’m shocked to see some reviews stating otherwise, because all 5 of mine are wonderful and not dry at all. Not even close. These are literally the nicest eyeshadow sticks I’ve ever purchased. I really hope she comes out with more colors! For the most part, the colors depicted on the website are very true to what you actually get. The only one I’m not totally satisfied with is saddle. I agree with another reviewer that stated it looks more orangey than a neutral tan brown. (Which tbh, when I look at the picture again, I can easily see just how orange/very warm leaning it is now). If you’re looking for a medium neutral brown, though the name is somewhat misleading, dove gray is MUCH more fitting. It’s not grayish like the name implies at all. It’s a beautiful, cool toned medium brown color. Very similar to a good contour color. Also, I want to add that these work best if you apply them on the eyes where you generally want them to go, and then use a good blending brush and smudge brush for the under eye. These aren’t ones that you should apply and then (at least for the darker ones) use your finger to blend out- at least if you want it to look good, unless of course you’re in a bind. They blend out very nicely and really easily and quickly with a brush and look very classy, and they don’t dry down immediately so you don’t have to rush to blend them. And they’re not patchy at all. My favorite color combo is using either the dove gray or americano all over the lid and buffing it out, and then using the color midnight along the upper and lower lash and smudging it out and using the alabaster in the inner corner and right underneath my eyebrows to highlight. Such a beautiful and easy smoky eye. I am so glad I decided to try these- it’s one of the best makeup purchases I’ve made in a while. I’m definitely going to order more of them.. I’m curious about the shimmer formulas:) Give them a try if you’re on the fence, I think you’ll be extremely pleased with them!
