Marit Wedge Pump (Women)

These are neither cute nor comfortable. The picture is more attractive than the shoe. The heel is cute, and a nice height for style and comfort. But the upper is kind of inexpensive looking in person, and in black (the color I ordered), this is a very plain-jane shoe. I've considered keeping it just to knock around in, in jeans. But I had hoped to have a comfortable shoe for work with dresses and skirts, and it's just not attractive enough to keep. The "leather" in the photo is shinier and sleeker looking than in person. As far as comfort goes, they are a little tight across the toe. Maybe this would stretch with time, but the look of the shoe is a non-starter for me.

I've always been a fan of Cole Haan and their ability to make not only stylish shoes, but to make them comfortable to wear as well. I was looking to replace an old pair of black wedge shoes and checked the Nordstrom website to see what was available. This pair came up and they were exactly what I was looking for - black suede, and a nice heel height. I was a little hesitant about the detailing on the heel. I just wasn't sure if I would like it once I saw it in person. I ordered a size 10 (my usual size) and received them promptly through FedEx. I took them out of the box and tried them on and they fit like a glove. I liked the detailing on the heel much more in person and appreciated how it set these wedges apart from other ones I've seen. I wore them for an entire day the very next day in the office and had no complaints. All in all, it's a great shoe with added flair!
