Generation ZeroGrand Stitchlite Sneaker

Got them for my girlfriend’s daddy for Christmas. Maybe he’ll like me now. Update: he still does not like me. He does like the shoes though.

Writing this review to make people aware that these run big. I am a size 11 in every other Cole Haan shoe I own. I took a picture for comparison. Both of these are size 11 Cole Haan. I think these particular Cole Haans are a half size to a full size larger than normal.

The gray foam like fabric that outlines the shoe turned white after the second time wearing the shoe at a casual setting. It can’t be cleaned or repaired, causing the outline of the shoe to appear scuffed. It’s a shame because the shoe is comfortable and the rest of the fabrics seem to be good quality. The overall look after a couple of wears make them look like I’ve had them for at least a year.

My work occasionally involves a lot of time walking, so I was looking for a shoe a bit dressier than a sneaker that still offers good support. These appear to be lace-ups, but in fact the ‘laces’ aren’t meant to be untied and retied each time. This is a slip-on with a stiff, non-conforming upper and a floppy sole without any sort of a last - the worst of both worlds. If you’re going to be sitting in a chair all day, they’ll probably do just fine, but there are better-looking options for that as well. These are going back.

My husband's feet hurt so he rarely tries new shoes. If he does - the shoes are returned because they hurt. I showed him these online, he got them and he actually wears them every day! No complaints about his sore toe or arches. It gives stiff support underneath but the fabric gives in the upper so it's not irritating his problem areas.
