Olsen Flip Flop (Women)

I’m a US size 6.5 consistently and usually take a European 36.5 or 37. I initially ordered the 7 and it was marked an EU 39 / UK 6 which were a full size too big and the straps were made for a much taller foot. Exchanged for a 6 which was marked as an EU 38 / UK 5; although the length was just right, the width to strap ratio makes no sense - the shoes are a normal, maybe slightly narrow fit but the straps are way too long/loose for these to be remotely comfortable to walk in without your foot wobbling about. Sadly did not work for me. Quality of the shoe was to be expected and if the straps were better I would have kept.
