Madeline Knee High Boot (Women)

Beautiful clean looking riding boot. Love the fact that there is no center seam and a buckle at the ankle exactly the look I have been searching for unsuccessfully for years. Just trying to replace a much older pair that wore out years ago. Unfortunately, the leather is so stiff that I was starting to question whether they were real leather or not. They are hard to walk in, but if they are real leather they will break in quickly. My biggest concern is how they will look broken in. It will be mostly at the ankle because that is where the flexibility is restricted for comfortable walking. I don’t have wide calves, but I don’t have skinny ones either. They are loose through the shaft and at the ankles. Fit is good through the foot. My fear is how messy are the ankles after being worn in and will it change how the upper shaft fits. I am on the fence about keeping. I probably will just because I have been without a pair of boots like this for a while. Previous seasons all the shafts were way too tall for my shorter legs I don’t typically buy shoes with synthetic linings so not sure if that changes how easy they will be to break in.
