OR softshell bibs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bibs are excellent for ski touring due to the light and flexible fabric they are made of. The looser fit also works well for walking uphill all day and a bonus for me is that they were long enough for my height (5'10"). The long zip on the side makes access for bathroom breaks an ease. The only reason they didn't get 10/10 is that the fabric does start to get wet in conditions where the temp is close to the the freezing level which happens often in the PNW but these pants would still be an excellent choice for most days out in the mountains in Washington and especially in places that tend to stay colder as they have plenty of room to add layers underneath. I also liked the bigger pockets on the front of the pants for my phone/snacks/other items that are nice to have accessible as well as the pockets on the chest that are useful for the same reason. Overall an excellent pair of ski touring bibs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested these 3L Pertex bibs in a wide range of conditions, and found they were best suited to sidecountry touring. The styling is more geared towards resort freeriding, with a high chest and few pockets, but the materials are not as waterproof as I expect my resort wear to be.
The pants were quick to soak through and quite a lightweight material. They dried quickly, and I really liked the feel and breathability of the material, but I would want a few features tailored more towards touring for these to be my go to backcountry bottoms. For one, the adjustments on the straps were rather bulky, and with the weight of my pack, it sometimes hurt my shoulders. Also, the pants only zipped away on one side. While there were zippers for venting heat on both legs, I don't understand why both zippers couldn't extend all the way up to allow for a full drop seat, like I have on other pants. This design just makes taking those breaks a little more awkward.
That said, I think these bibs would be great if you need a product that can do a bit of everything. I really like the full coverage style for riding the resort, and don't mind it on short hikes, but its not my preference when I'm getting after it in the backcountry. The material is really nice if you live in a colder, drier climate, but don't rely on it for waterproofing.
