What it does: The patent-pending formula absorbs shine, controls oil and resists sweat and humidity so that you can stay matte all day. This solution for oiliness wears for up to eight hours. It has been tested for streaking and fading at 88°F with constant 80% humidity to prove that it stays fresh.
How to use: Apply after your skin care regimen. Start in the center of your face and blend outward with a foundation brush or your fingertips. Blend evenly for smooth, natural-looking coverage. For a seamless look, dampen your fingertips and blend the edges, especially along the jawline.

Full coverage, Stands up to Sweat Foundation!
Clinique Stay-Matte Oil Free Foundation is a great full coverage foundation. I live in the South where it’s always hot & humid, this foundation stands up to it all. Does not sweat off! Love the velvety feel of it.

don't waste your money
I have always used stay true makeup was told the it had been discontinued and this was its replacement - Does not even compare feels oily going on, very oily skin within 3 hours of applying does not cover well at all. Nowhere near compares to stay true they should have never discontinued such a great product for this junk. I have used over the counter foundation that has work way better than this.

Stay Matte
Yes, I am also disappointed that Clinique has discontinued the Stay True foundation. There are some of us that have very sensative skin. I have been using Stay True since it first came out, in the Stay Sunny color. I will not purchase the Stay Matte as I have read reviews on other sites stating that it has a cheap cakey look. I would rather find another brand and spend more money than purchase a product just to end up throwing it in the garbage. As usual, these companies always discontinue a good product to bring in something else that cannot match up. It is amazing how many people have written in on other sites regarding the discontinuing of Stay True. That tells me how much people really liked it...It's a sad day...

Contains Dimethicone
I don't understand why Nordstrom doesn't list product ingredients. I took a chance but quickly learned that this foundation contains Dimethicone which I am very allergic to.

Works great!
Because we are trying to cut back on spending this year, I unfortunetaly had to downgrade from my beloved Chanel Perfection Luminiere foundation. So I asked the very helpful beauty stylists @ Nordstrom to recommend a Clinique foundation that would give me the same long-lasting coverage, would not make my skin oily and would not cause any breakouts, and this is what was recommended. Albeit I was a little unwilling to try it because I was afraid it might make my skin look dried out, but it actually works great. I put the sunkissed bronzer on top of it (also from Clinique) and my skin looks radiant. I even sneak in some of the Chanel Soliel De Tan Illuminating fluid and perfection! I couldn't be happier, especially considering the great price that this foundation is!

Amazing base!
I received this as a sample (surprisingly in my matching shade), and absolutely wanted to purchase it right away. AMAZING! First of all, the coverage is awesome, and makes you look flawless, not a flat matte, but a luminous matte... so you're still left looking healthy. I have problem skin, and this evened out my skin tone very well, hiding imperfections without effort. The formula is almost like a mousse, not fluid, so it was really easy to blend in, you don't even get those streak marks you get with a lot of foundations. It was as if the formula melted into skin. I did not get oily in the T-zone, which I often do. I have tried matte foundations from brands such as Clarins and Chanel (which I really like), but this specific one tops those!
