Pop Lip Color & Primer

It's been years since I've purchased anything from the Clinique line because I felt like I was too old for the line. I was looking for a very specific shade of lipstick, spotted Sweet Pop, and decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier. The color is perfect and stays true once applied. It glides on smoothly and feels nice. Exceptional product for the price point. Highly recommend.

I have several of these lipsticks and I love them even though they don't have a lot of staying power by themselves. Even though a matte lipstick would probably stay on longer, I don't like the feel so that's not an option for me personally. I like a "dewy" lipstick that has some shine but that you don't have to add lip gloss. I went back and purchased the lip liner pencil that closely resembled the lipstick shades and the staying power was increased significantly. My favorite so far is the color Love Pop because it is a darker nude of a berry shade but not pink. In my opinion it has a brown under-shade which is perfect for my olive skin. This is an excellent lipstick and so much less expensive than I normally buy. I'm going to buy more of these as we get in to Fall.

I bought this new lipstick in Bare Pop and Love Pop. I actually really like the beautiful colors. What a pity they are way too shimmery! You can't really tell from the pictures online, and I also didn't read anything about "shimmer" in the description. But once I put it on my lips, I almost saw a layer of silver ... With the word "pop" in the name, I was expecting something more juicy, dewy or candy like, but not shimmer... I usually wear matte or creamy lipsticks, maybe my tolerance level for shimmer lip color is too low. Others might find the shimmer with this lip color tolerable or even like it this way.

Please try 'Beige Pop'. A great stand alone nude with moisture power. Very lovely when paired with Clinique' s 'Intense Blush' liner and a swipe of St. Laurent's sheer 'Dream Me Nude.' For those of you with fair-light neutral complexions (I also have blonde hair and green eyes) this is a fabulous color combination for those who want a nude that's a bit more on the rosy side than a chalky brownish orangish nude. Try this alone or with the recommended combo.
