What it is: A lash-conditioning undercoat that boosts the benefit of most Clinique mascaras (sold separately).
What it does: This moisturizing lash primer formula helps condition and mend dry lashes.
How to use: Apply lash primer generously to your lashes using an upward motion. Immediately follow with mascara. Remove with your favorite Clinique eye makeup remover. Please note that it is not recommended for use with Lash Power Mascara, High Impact Curling Mascara or Bottom Lash Mascara formulas.

Eyelashes on steroids
This has been a staple item in my makeup collection for the last 2 years. It adds volume but more so is the length, wow! Don't be heavy handed with the product, you only need a light swipe just to coat the lashes. If you get too much, it will turn into a clumpy mess, at least for me. It will look like you are applying white mascara but not to worry. As soon as you apply your mascara over the top, it disappears and you are left with long voluminous lashes. The primer is best used within 8 weeks of opening before is starts to get think and goopy. Other than that, great product.

Spider Lashes
I don't know why so many people rave about this product. It was very clumpy and made my eyelashes look like fuzzy spider legs. I also found that it did nothing to enhance the look or wear of my mascara. I returned it.

Use Daily
I have been using Lash Primer daily for several years. I received a sample from a Nordstrom Clinque salesperson and was skeptical about it. As a 64 year old with skimpy, short lashes, I thought, "Right, like that will help me." How wrong I was. I use it daily and can tell those days when I skipped the step. My lashes look fuller and longer, especially when I take the time to apply the primer fully on top and bottom of lashes and allow it to dry before applying mascara. I usually use one coat of mascara; with more coats, my lashes are more pronounced. I received a sample of a competitor's lash primer with my last Nordstrom order; it does not work as well as Clinique Lash Primer, so I will not order it. I will continue to use Clinique Lash Primer!

Doesn't work on straight eyelashes
I'm Asian and have pin straight lashes. I used this after I curled my eyelashes and they immediately uncurled. I think it would probably work well if you had normal eyelashes, but it didn't work for me at all.

first timer
I've never used a lash primer before but when I was purchasing a mascara recently another customer was raving about how good lash primers were so I thought I'd give one a try. The reviews and price led me to the Clinique primer. I bought two, one for me and one for my teen daughter as stocking stuffers. The first time I used it I thought to myself that I will always use a primer again. My lashes were fuller, longer and separated perfectly! Both me and my daughter agree that it is one of the best beauty products we have.

Wonderful product
I use this before mascara, during day and bedtime. Keeps my lashes soft as they tend to grow left or right due to sleeping on sides. I apply the primer even when it's a no makeup day. I love that application is easy and he tiny brush separates lashes. Ladies over a certain age will appreciate "seeing" where lashes are to apply mascara.
I have tried other brands and was not pleased.
