Details & care
What it is: An eyeshadow stick that gives your eyes a sheer wash of lightweight, creamy color that's layerable, long-wearing and incredibly versatile.
What it does: It glides on for a swift wash of color, contours to add depth and highlights, too.
How to use: Apply directly to your eyelids. Blend gently upward and outward, building to desired intensity. Layer with multiple shades. It never needs sharpening, either. Simply swivel up to reveal more eyeshadow. Recap after each use. An audible click tells you it's securely closed. Remove with your favorite eye makeup remover.

Based on Clinique's research that allergies contribute to skin aging, every Clinique product is allergy tested 7,200 times and formulated to be completely fragrance-free. Eye makeup is ophthalmologist tested. Lipsticks have the added benefit of including moisturizers. And foundations lessen fine lines and wrinkles while improving uneven skin tone and redness.
I have recently tried Amber and Fudge in the new Clinique chubby sticks. I also bought them for my 23 yr old daughter for her birthday and she loves them too. The Amber is my favorite that I use as my base shadow. I stopped using powder eye shadows over three years ago when I tried Benefit cream eye shadows because they had at the time the best selection of colors and they lasted until you took them off. I started to hate powder eye shadows because they immediately end up on your cheeks or eyelashes when you use most brushes or they fade away or just end up in your eyes or contact lenses. I have been disappointed with the colors that other companies make in cream eye shadows though. They were either to light or to dark for my skin color. Im a light to medium olive skin person and most beiges turn white on me, and I have dark circles so dark shadows don't look that good either. I have been looking for a color like Amber as a base because its a rose gold and it doesn't lighten on me, stays true to the color and then sometimes I put the fudge on the outer edge of my eyelid and blend. I love these and hope Clinique will never discontinue especially the Amber so I bought two of those at once.

Disappointed :-(
I was disappointed with the "Chubby Stick", and Nordstrom, for a number of different reasons, the first being a shipping issue. Nordstrom sent one eyeshadow stick, along with one other very small item that I had ordered, in a box that measured 13" x 11" #MUCH TOO LARGE!#, and which contained NO packing material to cushion the items in order to prevent damage. The two items were loosely wrapped in what can only be described as a type of butcher paper and, therefore, the eyeshadow stick was damaged in shipping #the actual eyeshadow within the stick was broken#.
When I contacted Nordstrom to request a replacement, I was told that the shipping department attempts to be environmentally-friendly, which I commend, but they also need to be customer-friendly, and ensure that the orders will arrive in perfect condition! In this instance, a small, padded, recyclable shipping envelope and/or "air pillows" could have been used, rather than an oversized box lined merely with butcher paper and NO other cushioning material!
Secondly, I had posted a question, prior to ordering the "Chubby Stick", to inquire as to whether or not the eyeshadow has any type of glitter, sparkle, or metallic shine to it. I am over 50, and I do not want to look as if I borrowed eyeshadow from a 12-year-old!
I received a reply from Nordstrom, assuring me that it has a soft shimmer with a velvet finish, which is not overbearing, and the shimmer does not show up as sparkle on the eyes! Well, I guess that that is open to interpretation because, in my opinion, there is quite A LOT of sparkle/shimmer/glitter; TOO MUCH for my taste! Plus, the stick itself is SO "chubby" that, when applied to the eye, it ends up spreading shadow onto the surrounding area of the eyelid and up toward the eyebrows!
On a positive note, I do like the color of the "Chubby Stick" that I ordered, the texture of the eyeshadow itself, and the fact that it comes in stick form. I would just prefer that it be not-so-chubby #put it on a 'diet' and slim it down!#, and NOT have any sparkle whatsoever; a soft, subtle matte finish would be much better, especially for those of us who prefer to look age-appropriate! As a result, I rated this product as "Fair" since, in my opinion, it needs some tweaking before it would ever recieve a 5-star rating!

Obsessed!
I had been hearing and reading about the chubby sticks for a while and finally bit the bullet to try them. I ended up buying three different colors for the eyes - I LOVE them! I am a busy mom of two toddlers and I must admit that when it comes to makeup, I just don't find myself wearing it as much as I used to for one reason or another (mostly laziness). These chubby sticks are seriously AMAZING - I am obsessed with the fact that it is so easy and quick to apply. No brush, no powder mess, nothing. They are also super build-able and versatile - you can change your look with a few extra swipes. So fun, so easy. Another random note, I ended up purchasing the Lots o' Latte, Bountiful Beige and and Lavish Lilac. The beige is super natural looking and I mostly use it for highlighting. Surprisingly, the Lavish Lilac is my favorite - almost a silvery/gray with a tiny hint of purple. I would highly recommend trying these, I love them and they last all day for me!

Surprisingly Good!
I didn't own much Clinique makeup and Chubby Stick tint for eyes is my most recent purchase from the brand. I was intrigued after reading a glowing review from a beauty blogger and got my hands on three of them - Ample Amber, Fuller Fudge, and Whopping Willow. The colors are very saturated and creamy, shiny but not glittery. I'm instantly blown away by the rich colors when I swatched them on my hand, and got even happier when I directly applied them on my lids. They give you what's promised - glides on creamy colors, with long wearing and smooth finish.
I like the stick for eyes as they are portable, smudge able and easy to use. Love them even better when it comes with the swivel mechanism so I don't have to worry about getting a sharpener.
All in all I'm very happy with the purchase on these stick tints for eyes, and will highly recommend to others.

Not very creamy
I love the chubby sticks for lips, and was expecting this to be a similarly creamy consistency. Instead it's hard as a rock, and pulls the skin when applying. Very disappointed.

Chubby eye stick
Love this product by Clinique! It is so easy to apply and use and I have the pearl white and the Khiki colors plus I have the rose colored stick I think that is for lips. Anyway, I am 78 years old and love to have eye make-up that looks good. This is easy to use and when I brush a little powdered light green eye makeup over the bottom part I think it looks great, I am very satisfied and hope they keep making it! The associate I worked with was so helpful too, she found just what I was looking for! Thanks Nordstrom!
