What it does: The radiant hues come with a sponge-tip applicator, both tucked in a mirrored compact. At the end of the day, wipe it away with your favorite makeup remover.
How to use: All About Shadow can be used as an accent shade, a liner or to highlight under the brow bone. Light shades look dramatic on deeper skin tones while dark shades look more natural. Dark shades look more dramatic on fair skin tones while light shades look more natural. Matte finish shadows give fine lines and wrinkles a softer, smoother look. A hint of soft shimmer shadow dabbed into the center of your eyelids adds a pop of brightness. Super-shimmer eyeshadows act as highlighting shades to bring out your brow bones and the inner corners of your eyes.

Lavender out Loud Eyeshadow (Clinique)
I am, ahem, an older woman (mid sixties), but I have always worn makeup, and especially now when I feel I could use a bit of help. But I have a terrible fear of looking clownish. So it took a while for me to decide that lavender was a good color for my greenish/bluish eyes, even though it looks very bright in the compact. I also steer clear of anything sparkly because that just makes me look older. But this shade is pretty amazing. It has a subtle shimmer. As the day goes on, it becomes more luminous. When I walk through the Nordstrom cosmetic section, someone (usually a sales associate) compliments me on my eyes. And so do my friends and acquaintances. I use a midnight blue shadow for eye liner, and it works very well. The Clinique eye shadow is relatively unexpensive, compared to other brands. My recommendation is that you try it. You may be surprised.

Misinformed
Ordered two new eye shadows for a change. No where in the description are either colors ordered identified as Super Shimmer or Soft Shimmer. Had I known that the colors I was selecting were Super Shimmer and Soft Shimmer, I would not have ordered. Very disappointed in Nordstrom's website descriptions. Nothing may be wrong with the product, just not what I wanted.

Too shiny
I wanted a satin beige color for base coverage and thought Daybreak was it. If you are looking for lots of shimmer, this is for you. When I put enough on to be noticeable it was too shimmery for daytime wear.

Really Pink
I love Clinique eye shadow but the Angel Eyes color is much more pink than it looked online and I'll be exchanging it for another color. I am still struggling to find a replacement for the old Ivory Bisque duo which I loved. Please bring it back, Clinique!

There's just something about this color
I don't buy many Clinique products - I guess I think of them as a young persons brand - but I have wanted this color (Black Honey) for so long but just never picked it up. Now that I have it I am so glad that I finally pulled the trigger. The formula is lovely - blendable and buildable - and it plays nice with other brands of shadows. I actually really like the packaging even though it is a bit of a fingerprint magnet. It's very sleek and easy to travel with. I don't think there is an eye color or skin tone that this wouldn't look beautiful with. When you factor in the beyond reasonable price of these shadows there is no reason not to pick up one - or all - of these.

Nice neutral shade
Finally found a shade in matt finish. Please add the finish to the description of each color. I do not go to the store to shop so online descriptions must be very detailed. Great shade for neutral wear day & night.
