CLIMA Mattress Pad

When ordering this item I was excited to be purchasing what I thought I was searching for in a healthy and sustainable bedding product. The website description noted that this mattress pad is • 100% Tencel® lyocell with CLIMA fabric fill • Tencel lyocell is a sustainably produced fiber made with closed-loop processing • OEKO-TEX®–100 certified materials free of harmful substances However, after receiving it, on the tag I was disappointed to discover the mattress is made from the following; TOP FABRIC: 60% LYOCELL/40% NYLON BOTTOM FABRIC: 100% POLYESTER INNER LINING: 100% POLYESTER WATERPOROOF LAYER: POLYURETHANE SKIRT FABRIC: 100% POLYESTER Both polyester and nylon are petroleum(plastic) based products. Both are treated with toxic chemicals in the production process, harmful to the environment and hard to recycle. I recently purchased a 100% organic mattress in order that all the hours, a third of our lives, is spent sleeping on something healthy. I will be returning this mattress pad and purchasing one that meets my criteria to achieve that. On the plus side this looks very well made and comes in a very nice milky white zipped case by Sijo.

I expected for it to be full eucalyptus but it has a plastic backing and that makes it super hot. I will be returning.

Does not work well. Have to smooth it out each night before bed

Great fit, soft - enjoyed immediately.

The pad description is accurate but I did not like the feel or pattern

This product does not keep it any cooler than a regular mattress pad. Highly dissatisfied with the purchase.
