Not great for tall midsized gals
I really wanted to like these pants, as I’ve been trying to add brown trousers to my work wardrobe for a long time and the color of these is a beautiful dark brown. But I had the same issue with these pants as I have with so many ankle pants: the tapered leg is too slim. I’m a size 12 and quite tall, so in my case it’s a combination of the brand not quite factoring in larger proportions (larger size = larger calf) and my height causing the pant to hit at a higher, wider part of my leg. If you are midsize and tall, these may not work for you. I’m still holding out hope that women’s workwear will wise up to these kinds of issues (the way men’s workwear does) and err on the side of providing extra fabric for tailoring versus making clothes to fit women of “average” height and proportion.
