Classic Fit Stripe Linen Button-Up Shirt

I was surprised, but I didn’t love this shirt. I’m a lean but athletic build, which frequently means Polo Ralph Lauren shirts/dresses can be tighter across my arms/shoulders/chest even when they are slightly looser on my waist and hips. I found size S had plenty of space across the shoulders but was long and a leaner fit around the hips than expected for the length. It fit fine but not how I would want it to fit. I also tried a size M but that just made it too big. Not sure what was off in the cut for me but it didn’t fit lean enough for a refined/tucked in look and wasn’t relaxed enough for a casual cool untucked look. Just didn’t work for how I would want to wear it. I am 5’9”, 34D chest, 145 lb lean athletic build and typically wear a size S (occasionally a M depending on cut and how I want to wear it). Beautiful color (blue stripe), nice weight and seemed like a good quality linen but I ended up returning it.
