Desert Boot

It's hard to believe that my granddaughter, who received these desert boots as a birthday gift, loves them as much as her grandfather did when he wore them in the 60's! This is definitely an enduring style, l ordered them online and received them very quickly. Thank you, Nordstrom, for your great variety of shoes and your wonderful service!

Love the look but they are much too tight in the toe area. I take a 6.5 but would have to go barefoot to wear these. With socks on, they just do not fit. Too bad, I had to return. Why would these be cut small? I have been wearing a 6.5 for 50 yrs in every shoe I purchase.

I love boots. I love ankle boots. As I searched for a comfy version, suitable for walking and wearing all day (as in touring cities on vacation, etc), I was reminded of a classic from my teenage days - the desert boot. So I purchased these, and I couldn't be happier. I have not yet had the occasion to wear them touring all day, but I have worn them all day at home. They were comfortable right from the start - no break-in time needed. I do wish there had been a lighter color available, more of a sand color. I chose these in distressed taupe. They are darker than pictured, more of a gray. I do like them. I purposely chose these over the Oakwood color, as I feared those would be too brown. All in all, I am very happy. A funny thing ... though they fit true to size - I am a 6.5 - they make my feet LOOK small. I guess that's OK. Love them!
