I have modest expectation when it comes to these types of products. I know there's no product that can replace healthy diet and exercise. If you're expecting a lotion to suddenly melt away pounds of fat, this is not for you and you may be in search for a while. I have been using this for over 8 years now. They've had a couple of formula changes, as well as packaging updates in that time. But what this continues to give me is smoother, firmer skin that actually makes it easier for me to put on my jeans in the morning. It is essentially topical caffeine and the effects are temporary in the sense that you stop using it, the effects go away. But as long as I keep using it, my legs are firmer, smoother, and less tired. That last benefit is important to me personally because I move, walk, and stretch more when my legs feel lighter. I've used another Clarins product specifically for that (I forget the name, it's a mint colored lotion) but this works better AND has slimming effects. At full price of a regular bottle, it really does make you question if it's worth it but I don't really need to think about that with the large bottle.
