What it does: It's formulated with organic leaf of life, a super-quenching succulent plant extract that powers the skin's natural hydration to retain moisture in any environment. Organic Mary's thistle helps improve the skin's natural hydration process for all-day comfort.
How to use: Before application, shake well to mix the two phases. Pump the product into the palms of your hands and apply to a clean face and neck, morning and/or evening before your regular skin care regimen.

Not good for sensitive skin
This product caused severe swelling and redness on my face. I used it once and it triggered my eczema. It took an entire week for my skin to calm down.
I waited a while and tried again months later after finding it again. I woke with my eyes swollen and my face burning.

Clarins Bi-Phase Serum: Watery
This fragranced, thin, blue watery serum absorbs quickly, feels light and hydrating. I tried it with Clarins Hydra Moisturizer, and my dry, sensitive skin was comfortable, but not overly hydrated. This would be a good warm weather serum. However delivery system is time and product consuming. I don’t like mixing serum in my palms to put on my face. The product is hard to control because it’s so thin and watery. There’s waste as it spills around and absorbs in my hands. Getting enough product on my face is challenging. The packaging should be a shakeup bottle with a dropper for one step application to save on time and product. Or give the product a gel texture that offers users more control of amount and placement.

Disappointed
Way too watery. When you pump it on your finger, most of it rolls off. When you put it on your face, it feels a little dry, like I'm using water. I like a serum I can feel is there...one that has more substance to it. Returned it.

The best serum for very dry skin
I have used Hydra – essential serum for many years. It is the only serum, (I have tried many), that truly makes a difference on my mature skin. It absorbs well and gives my skin a glow that I have not found elsewhere.

Lightweight Hydrating Serum
I bought this for my daughter whose skin was very dehydrated with the colder weather. She loves the light texture of the serum. Because of previous acne she will only use light texture creams, so she uses the Hydra Essential AST as her moisturizer. Her skin is now comfortable and radiant.
